Ignore It and It'll Go Away

John McIntyre at Real Clear Politics thinks Clinton would have been better served to have just skipped the opportunity to rip into Chris Wallace of Fox News:

It seems to me Bill Clinton would have been better off just accepting the politically correct conclusions of the 9/11 Commission, ignoring ABC's "The Path to 9/11," and letting the public continue take the politically benign view that his administration, the administration of President Bush, and indeed the entire government didn't do enough to accurately assess and deal with the threat posed from Al Qaeda and bin Laden prior to 9/11.

Hmmm...you know, I might advocate the same thing, if it weren't for the labors of thousands of right-wing Bush supporters, pundits and bloggers, seeking ever since the 9/11 Commission was created to shift every ounce of the blame for 9/11 from Bush to Clinton. I simply don't understand how McIntyre can advise Clinton to "accept the politically correct conclusions" when the conservative propoganda machine has done anything but. Clinton has every right to be outraged about what they've said, and it makes no sense either pragmatically or personally to just let that go when the right has deliberately sought to change present and future opinion for their own political purposes.

I think McIntyre's advice makes no sense!

McIntyre also says today that the Foley scandal won't really hurt the GOP in the mid-terms.

Methinks he's having trouble adjusting.
