9/11 Commission

Today the 9/11 Commission releases their final report on the attacks. With all the politicking surrounded the efforts of this commission, I'd like to give the members of the commissions-Democrat and Republican-kudos for rising above their partisan affiliations to release a thorough and detailed report. I think they did as good a job as they could, considering the circumstances.

I was highly disturbed by the fact that the hijackers set off the sensors and still made it on the plane. My only complaint about the report is that I think they didn't take a possible Saudi connection too seriously.

What bothers me most is that we knew beforehand that some of these men might be involved in terrorist activities, that we knew what the nature of the attacks might be, and that no one threw up a red flag on these guys even though we knew the attacks were imminent.
