So I'm sitting here watching Bush's speech on ABC. It's 10:15. I thought the networks were devoting only an hour? Isn't that why Kerry had to rush through his so to not get cut off for a repeat of "Elimidate?"
It's actually a really good speech. Unfortunately, that's all it is - a speech. None of it is true. And I've always thought a man has to be measured by his actions, not his words. Bush must have had some great coaching for this. But no amount of coaching can make these words anything but hollow.
UPDATED: Saletan points out the ludicrousness of Bush's speech.

Good call, good call. My only statement is the same one I've had for about 4 years now. How could anybody vote for this guy?
