In the Final Hour

Can anyone believe the election is tomorrow? I've been into this so long I don't remember anything else. I can't remember the last day when I didn't think about the election. I actually feel like a period of my life is ending in a way. No matter what the outcome. Post your thoughts and tell me what you think.

So where does the election stand on the penultimate day? Well, Kerry leads the newest FOX News (yes, even FOX has him ahead), Marist, and Democracy Corps polls. It's in dead heat in even Gallup (if Gallup has them tied, Kerry must be leading by 5 points). Zogby has Kerry ahead of 9 of the 16 battleground states. The Electoral Vote Predictor has Kerry winning 298-231. Bush's approval rating is dangerously low for an incumbent, and Kerry is leading among new voters and those with mobile phones currently not counted in most polls. Anyway, the polls definitely favor Kerry, but it all depends on turnout so go out and vote. Swing state, blue state, red state, whatever. We need the electoral votes and the popular vote.

This is it everyone. Just go and vote.

I'm excited myself. It is hard to believe that the election is finally upon us, and never have I thought that an election was more important then it is now. I'm actually fairly confident. I won't go out on a limb and predict Kerry by a landslide or anything crazy like that, but I do have a strong feeling that he will emerge victorious tomorrow, or sometimes this week...or next. Even so we'll have a good three months remaining in which to criticize and attack the Bush administration. And if Kerry doesn't win...well, we'll have plenty of fodder for our little blog for four more years at least.

Can we actually believe these polls?

When Bush was ahead, my friend told me that the polls are crap. Just how reliable are them any way?

Man, tonight was amazing. I went with the UNT and SMU Democrats to protest Bush's visit to SMU. I'd wager we had about as many people outside protesting as were attending the rally. The people, the energy - it was incredible. Bush came to Dallas, Tx and we gave him hell. We will be victorious.
