Where do we go from here?

As we all know by now, Bush will remain president. There's nothing I can say that can describe how I and the rest of us feel so I won't try. I do want to say I do not think we lost because of Kerry or because of Republican trickery... We lost because the country has shifted to the right. I believe we have entered (or remain in?) a period of conservative dominance in government. The blame lies not on the campaign of us grassroots supporters for not trying hard enough, but with those who voted for Bush. America disappointed us and the world last night, and we better be ready to deal with the consequences of our actions. Also, I heard the youth vote didn't turn out in any greater percentage than before. Well kids, since obviously you don't give a shit, if the draft comes I want you first to go. Bush voters need to sign up now. But I digress (that's an understatement).

Well, in the next few days we'll be discussing what the second Bush administration will be like, and where the Democrats and Republicans will go from here to 2008.

I hope you guys are doing okay. Here in NYC everyone is extremely depressed and unproductive today.

Look, guys, the world probably won't be ending anytime soon. This may begin a long downard arc for our country, but let's hope enough people retain sense that we only have to endure this for another four years.

Well I agree to some extent, but my fear is how much more damage Bush can do in the next four years then he's already done. And the disappointment that many people don't realize the mistakes he's made or don't care about them, so that he's not held accountable for all he's done wrong. The world won't end, but it's awfully unpleasant to look upon for the next four years.
