News Round-Up

A CIA report paints a pessimistic picture of Iraq. Showing a newfound willingness to work with other nations, the US rejects talks of Kyoto at an international climate conference. A group representing government workers claims the EPA censored warnings that a Bush administration plan to build roads in national forests could harm drinking water. An FBI letter details abuse at Guantanamo Bay, and memos detail U.S. special forces members' threats again defence personnel over prisoner abuse in Iraq. And on the ecomonic front, job cuts rise further in November.

4 more years... Shit!

Well, there's a slight difference. The reports on WMDs required knowledge that most of us were not privy to; and what information the CIA provided that there were no likely WMDs was blissfully ignored by the administration.

As for Iraq going in the can...well, all you have to do is be able to read a paper to know that. In fact I'm fairly sure that's whatever those analysts up there at Langley did in producing this report.
