First, former Congressman Chris Bell dominated the gubernatorial race with over 60% of the vote whilst U.S. Senate candidate and widely perceived frontrunner Barbara Ann Radnofsky fell several points below a majority pushing the race into a run-off with 2000 candidate Gene Kelly. That will take place April 11th where Maria Alvarado and Ben Grant will also go head-to-head in the race for Lieutenant Governor.
Unfortunately, U.S. Congressional incumbent Henry Cuellar - a.k.a George Bush's favorite Democrat - beat progressive challenger Ciro Rodriguez (this is a solid Dem district and there is no Republican candidate, so this contest decided who gets to be the next Congressman) after many thought it would at least be pushed into a runoff. On the upside, State Senate incumbent Frank "I put the Democratic Party in my trunk" Madla was ousted in favor of a more representative candidate.
Oh, and Tom Delay won his four-way primary race on the Republican side. This is actually good news since our guy, Nick Lampson, has a very good shot at beating the corrupt Delay whereas he'd have a much tougher time against any regular Republican in the conservative district.

Thanks for posting it here too. This looks like it could be good, although I'm not going to be crushed when we wake up the morning after and find out Texas is still Republican dominated.
