In other news...
The United States resurrected their second round hopes with a tie against Italy today, and with a little help from Ghana in their stunning upset over the Czech Republic. I was fortunate enough to see the last 30 minutes or so of the game (in a packed bar at the hotel here!) and the U.S., down to 9 men against Italy's 10, played with heart, and desperation. A victory against Ghana on Thursday, and a victory by Italy over the Czechs (in a game played, incredibly, at the same time the US plays Ghana) will send them into the next round...and make my month.
