Live Blogging: Convention, Day 1

This morning the American Constitution Society kicks off it's 2006 annual convention, beginning with a "major policy speech" on privacy by Hillary Clinton. I can say with assurance that scoring Senator Clinton for the convention is a major coup for ACS and-at least to me-quite a surprise given how relatively new of an organization the ACS is. I have a feeling her speech this morning will be part of her effort to lay the foundation for a run at president in 2008, so it'll be quite interesting to hear what she has to say. Also, House Representative Barney Frank will be speaking at the luncheon at noon, though no indication yet as to what he'll be speaking about.
