With 60 votes needed to move forward with debate on the House's Iraq resolution, the motion was rejected 56-34 (ten Senators were not present). All Democrats voted for the resolution, minus Tim Johnson who is still hospitalized. They were joined by Independent Bernie Sanders and only 7 Republicans.
UPDATE: Democrats will now push to revise the 2002 authorization to go to war.
