Counterinsurgency in Iraq

Awhile back I wrote a post that included a link to an editorial (drawn from a longer piece in Harper's Magazine) that Edward Luttwak wrote on why counter-insurgency in Iraq will fail, at least as we Americans practice it. Via War & Piece is this thorough piece by David Kilcullen, which I link to out of fairness as an excellent counter-balance to Luttwak's argument.
