Yeah, but I wouldn't want them telling me the economy will pick up when Santa Claus comes distributing free goods to everybody either. Whether it was a lie or a stupid mistake, they sold it because they wanted to believe in it, and that doesn't absolve them of any responsibility for getting us into a war with false information.
