That's the death toll for U.S. troops in Iraq for just the past three months, 99 in just this month of June, making it the deadliest quarter for GIs since the war began. A total of 3,576 members of the U.S. military have died since the invasion in March 2003. At least 2,936 died as a result of hostile action, according to the military's figures. Around 10,000 have been wounded.
