Conservative bloggers launch smear campaign against a 12-year-old boy

In a desperate attempt to provide cover for an incredibly unpopular veto by President Bush, right-wing bloggers have engaged in a baseless smear campaign against 12-year-old Maryland boy. Named Graeme Frost, the boy gave the weekly radio address for Congressional Democrats two weeks ago in support of expanding of the SCHIP program because he was involved in a severe car accident three years ago and received access to medical care from Maryland's CHIP. As Think Progress notes, basically all of their claims about the Frost family are false and Michelle Malkin stooped to stalking their residence. But coming from those that have repeatedly slandered the record of war heroes simply for being Democrats or otherwise disagreeing with them, what do you expect?

UPDATE: (Xanthippas) I thought you guys might enjoy this piece from Hilzoy over at Obsidian Wings, where she carefully (and slowly) explains-so that even a right-wing blogger can understand-such difficult and nuanced subjects as financial aid, mortgages and medical expenses.

UPDATE II: (Xanthippas) The "controversy" gets MSM treatment. Democrats rise to the defense of the family, right-wingers come off looking like assholes, and Republicans won't touch the right-wing's radioactive criticisms with a ten foot pole.

It's not good enough to applaud their President's attack on children. Apparently they have to get in on the action. These people are vile and disgusting, and if I had my way we'd deport these assholes to Iran.
