Cowboys Update
The Cowboys had a bye this week, so there was no chance to widen the gap between the themselves and the two other NFC East teams nipping at their tail, the NY Giants and the Washington Redskins. The Giants took advantage of that fact, eking out a win over Miami and pulling up one game behind the Cowboys in the standings. More pleasingly, the Redkins were humiliated by the seemingly enraged and unstoppable Patriots yesterday, losing 52-7; the Cowboys have the distinction of probably having given the Patriots the best game this season in their 48-27 loss two weeks ago. The Eagles beat Minnesota to at least keep their hopes of a post-season appearance alive.
