For the Dallas Mavericks to show everyone that the Kidd trade was the right move to make. After struggling to win against both powerhouses and mediocre opponents, they've ripped off five straight blowouts over mediocre teams, and everybody seems to have gotten their groove back. In the next six days they'll play the Lakers, the Celtics and the Spurs. Moral victories won't cut it. To have a chance in the West (where the Houston Rockets of all teams have ripped off 22 straight wins) the Mavs need some impressive wins agains the big boys, and that has to start tonight.
UPDATE: Ok, maybe they'll start on Thursday.
