Reactionaries are a permanent American feature, at least until America inevitably crumbles, and then the Real Fun will begin.
Perrin means "Real Fun" in the most menacing sense (I think) but for me, I can take comfort in the decline of American might by thinking upon how insane and powerless such an event will make the nationalists on the right feel. I can hardly wait for the saber-rattling in Canada's direction and lengthy discussions on right-wing blogs on how nuclear weapons can influence the economic policies of China.
