World Cup to US?

Here's another short soccer note for you: apparently the U.S. Soccer Federation is interested in getting their hands on the 2018 World Cup, bringing it back to America for the first time since 1994. That's three World Cup's from now, following the 2010 and 2014 tournaments. England appears to be interested as well, so I wouldn't start sticking pennies in the piggy bank just yet. But the 1994 tournament was a huge success, and helped kick off the development of soccer here in our country. By 2018 Major League Soccer will have been around for over two decades, several many more soccer-specific stadiums will have been built, and the market for soccer in this country will be even larger.
