T. Boone's Wind
Timothy Egan has a good op-ed on the oil man T. Boone Pickens and his new fascination with wind power...as well as how liberals and Democrats should be wary of jumping on board T. Boone's wind power bandwagon. As great as T. Boone's proposal sounds, we should all remember that he wouldn't be so eager to build those turbines did he not stand to make a ton of money from it.

Well, while we could wish he was a bit more altruistic, he is a conservative. At least he's arguing against continued reliance on oil, which is more than you can say for the Bush and McCain types. And he's putting his own money up to fund wind power instead of demanding government subsidies, which I have to say makes him a better energy reformer than even many liberals. I would argue that while the government should laud individuals like him, we should not rely on investors like him to bring about our green revolution.
Oh, but I'm never going to forgive him for the swift boat thing.
Oh, uh, was I supposed to make a joke about T. Boone being full of wind or something?
