Biden's Senate replacement chosen

Delaware Gov. Ruth Ann Minner announced she will appoint Ted Kaufman, a former chief of staff to Sen. Joe Biden, to fill the senator's seat until a 2010 special election. Kaufman will not seek reelection, leaving the seat open for Biden's son Beau (who recently shipped off to Iraq).
