Early Voting Gains Popularity
After the elections tomorrow, Congress may be willing to consider a law that mandates early voting of some form in all states. To which I say, finally! Spreading voting out over a period of roughly two weeks gives people ample opportunity to show up at the polls at times that are convenient for them, and reduces the waiting times and lines that discourage some poeple from voting at all. It amazes me that only a minority of states offer early voting (as we do in Texas, thank goodness) and frankly, it's inexcusable that not all states offer it.
