Human Rights Watch: Both Georgia and Russia to Blame
According to Human Rights Watch, both Georgia and Russia violated international law in the short war that too place in August between them. Georgia was none too careful about its shelling of South Ossetia, and utilized cluster bombs against civilians. Russia also was none too careful in its numerous bombings of Georgian targets, and permitted South Ossetian fighters to conduct a measure of ethnic cleansing against Georgians living in South Ossetia. Rabid supporters of either side in the conflict should be aware of exactly what they're supporting
