Burnam Files to Impeach Justice Keller

You may recall that Justice Sharon Keller, Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, endured some strong criticism for her refusal to hold the court clerk's office open an additional twenty minutes so as to permit lawyers for a man on death row to file a last-minute appeal, even though the lawyers had already informed the office that computer troubles were hampering their ability to file. For her trouble, State Rep. Lon Burnam (D - Ft. Worth)is filing articles of impeachment against the judge. Like Kuff I don't imagine this will travel far, but anything that puts the spotlight on Justice Keller for her absurd and inexplicable decision can only be a good thing.
