The Bush Propaganda Organ
The rest of the country may be done with Bush, but residents of Dallas can't get away from him. James Traub summarizes the controversy over the Bush library at SMU, and how Bush's underlings fought (successfully) to be as free of academic standards and accountability as the Bush administration was of law in general. It's unfortunate that Bush doesn't call Virginia his home, as either Regent or Liberty would surely welcome Bush's effort to rescue his reputation and they have less academic credibility to be concerned with losing anyway.
