Then the 2009 Texas Young Democrats convention happening this weekend is the event for you. More info below:

TYD Convention runs from 9am Saturday the 18th to 12pm Sunday the 19th at St. Edwards University, 3001 S. Congress Ave., Austin in the Ragsdale Center. Guest speakers will include Bill White, John Sharp, Young Democrats of America president (and Dallas native) David Hardt, KT Musselman, Matt Glazer, and Rachel Farris!

Will be preceded by a fundraiser Friday night from 7-10p at the Thistle Cafe, 300 W 6th St. Keynotes by Boyd Richie and State Senator Leticia Van De Putte.

Will be followed by the Texas College Democrats Lobby Day. Lobby Day training will be Sunday the 19th at 6pm at UT Austin; Monday the 20th at 10am they'll reconvene for a rally and lobbying.
