You may recall this story that I blogged about back in March, about the horrific murder of a family in East Texas last year. More specifically, you may remember Rod Dreher blogging like a moron after he read the story. Well, Texas Monthly has a good article on the murder (via Barry Green) which attempts to answer the question "Why did a small-town girl have her family brutally murdered?" Of course there is no answer, except to say that some people are born into the world as sociopaths, and simply manage to get away with hiding it until there's something they want badly enough to kill someone to get it. It's a compelling article article, but don't read it if you're looking for an afternoon pick-me-up.
