"An Inconvenient Truth"

Al Gore's documentary on global warming started showing at the Angelika in Plano yesterday. I saw along with some other College Dems and we all thought it was really well-made and effective. It's mostly Gore delivering his presentation which he has delivered around the world, but it cuts in with some biographical-type stuff that really humanizes him (and he is also pretty funny at times). Anyway, it's definitely worth seeing and hopefully people will get the message about this very serious topic.

The film has gotten rave reviews, but I thought the most interesting was this one from the movie-site Ain't It Cool News that was written by a self-described, albeit disenchanted Republican (who loved the film) which you can read here:

UPDATE: "An Inconvenient Truth" cracked the box office top ten this weekend, landing at the number nine spot. Doesn't sound impressive? Keep in mind this is a movie playing in 77 theatres whereas "X-Men: The Last Stand" is playing in over 3000 more.
