Today marks the third anniversary of the first post of TWM. We've come along way from "Incest, schmincest!" to being recognized in blog round-ups at Slate Magazine and the Washington Post Online (links to our "greatest hits" collections can be found on the left-hand side of the blog). As of this day, we've had 57, 451 page hits, which have included IP address connected to the Pentagon and the national and state capitol buildings. Blog founder Xanthippas is away this weekend (though he will somehow still be mysteriously guest blogging over at The Agonist these next couple of days), but wants you to know how proud he is - how proud we all are - of what we've accomplished on the blog these past three years. I honestly don't know what I'd do with my spare time without it, and we all will continue to be happy bringing you fresh updates of our political/cultural/sociological/technological/spiritual analysis for many years to come.

We've also come a long way from an orange/brown/blue color scheme!
That too!
Always a good read, guys. Thanks.
And thank you for reading.
Yes, I'm quite proud of this little blog, which has gone from something I did in downtime at work to (for better or for worse) my only major hobby. I'm sure we've educted quite a few people along the way, but I'm actually most amazed at what this blog has done for me in educating me on the issues, connecting me to people "in the know" and giving me a reason to follow politics in this country more closely than I ever have before. I'm quite happy with the work we've put out, and quite pleased with the results for our readers and ourselves.
