I'm far too cynical to believe that our relationship to Israel-which is mostly characterized by our acquiescence to whatever actions Israel seeks to take against it's enemies, however self-destructive and self-defeating-is about to change based on events to this point. I do agree with Greenwald that our national discourse about Israel is gradually changing and so the possibility of real change in our foreign policy is present, but we're talking about decades of conflating Israel's national security concerns that must be defeated first.
UPDATE: On the other hand, if the Obama administration is making moves that piss off the Israel hawks, maybe change is around the corner.
