Swiftboat liars, Bush's guard "service," and what Bob Dole really thinks

Thankfully, almost half of Americans think Bush is behind the Swiftboat ads and the number of people believing them has dropped, according to a new poll. Now damage certainly has been done, but Kerry just needs to keep connecting the dots and refuting the claims over the next few days and weeks. Meanwhile, Slate reports what Bob Dole really thinks about Bush's tactics. And as a former Texas official admits he got Bush into the National Guard, Michael Moore absolutely rips him for attacking Kerry's service.

UPDATED: Chief financial backer of Swiftboat liars protested outside home. And CNN refuses to air ads by the Log Cabin Republicans critical of the Republican Party's stance on gay rights because they are "too controversial," despite airing the Swiftboat ads, proving they are no less partisan hacks for the right than Faux News itself.
