"Enough!"

Barack Obama spoke before a vast crowd at Invesco Field last night, and having established himself as an engaging and powerful public speaker, he did not disappoint. I'm quite pleased that he took the time to take several direct and pointed jabs at McCain while also laying out the specifics of several of his own policies. My favorite line of the night was when referring to Republicans Obama said "It is time for them to own their failure!", though a close second was this line about Osama:

"John McCain likes to say that he'll follow bin Laden to the Gates of Hell - but he won't even go to the cave where he lives."

Lines like that, which in one sentence highlights the difference between McCain's tough talk and the actual effect of the policies he advocates, are extremely effective. Overall I think it was a powerful speech, and if anyone has any serious questions about where Obama stands on matters of substance, then they're hopeless.
